If I joined the Italian club and my last name was O'Connor, I would work harder in order to "fit in". By "giving more to the Irish community", while commendable, it's usually done with ulterior motives in mind. As a parade committee member, I watch the "politicking", and it's rather humerous. I applaud George for all of his hard work, but rest assured, he and Charlie Russo are "climbing the same mountain".
They're climbing the same mountain Dr. Rossiter climbed when he called my house asking for my support on the Parade Committee vote.
But hey, my last name is Spanish, I'm more Italian than anything else, and I'm Irish enough to be in Hibernian. Guess no matter what I do, I'll always be a part of that "politicking" huh?

You couldn't resist.
If that pic doesn't scream IRISH I don't know what does.
Except for that kraut on the far right.
Uh oh.
Watch it Snuffy. That guy on the far right has given more to the Irish community of Savannah over the years than just about anybody.
Outside of Joe Welch, yes.
...and Copie.
Sorry, Rick. I couldn't resist. I'm about 1/4 kraut myself.
