Georgia- Florida

I get sick of the constant jean short references but come on.

I hadn't planned on going to THE game all year long. My thinking was this: I don't want to be down there if we lose. And if we win and I'm on Tybee, then it would be sweet enough. Well, I talked to Murray and he brought up a good point: if we win and we are down there, then it will be unbridled joy; and if we lose, then (ir)regardless of where we are, it will be absolutely terrible. So, we might as well go.

I don't want to miss a similar feeling.

My prediction

UGA 38
Florida 24

No celebrations. No brawls (on the field). No Florida coming out in black. After the game, Tebow makes a dash for the locker room instead of shaking 7's hand. CMR says it all with an " F-U" smile to CUM when they shake hands after the game.

In honor of this BIG DOG- here are 7 questions for all the Gator Fans in Savannah.

1: Did you apply to the University of Florida?
2: Have you been to Athens or Gainesville more?
3: Have you been to more UGA games or UF games?
4: Do you have more friends who have gone to UGA or more friends who have gone to UF?
5: Do you know more ex-UGA athletes or ex-UF athletes?
(From BC- Cannon twins, Sewell, Joe's dad, Mallard, Sewell, Rahal, Hissam... From other schools- Brophy, Edge, Dobbs, Fields)
6: Do you really think Tebow is cooler/ better than Knowshown?
7: If your goal is to be different, then why not just dress like this?

This way you'd be funny and we'd all see how different you were!

Durham Day is fast approaching. 10-6. GO DOGS!

A Great American

Article has basically the best lead ever. I dream about one day getting the chance to write something like this.

And hopefully someone can find the bar tab.

Police: Golfer John Daly drunk, detained

When you hear the words "Hooters," "John Daly" and "extremely intoxicated" in the same sentence, you know where this story is going.

In the latest chapter of Daly's longtime struggle with alcohol abuse, Daly was held overnight in a North Carolina jail after passing out at a Hooters restaurant, according to Winston-Salem police.

Police officers were called to the Hooters at 120 Hanes Square Circle in Winston-Salem at 2:17 a.m. When police arrived, Daly, who had passed out at the restaurant, was already being treated by emergency medical workers, according to police reports. Emergency workers said Daly refused to go to a hospital.

According to police, Daly "appeared extremely intoxicated and uncooperative." Daly again refused to go to the hospital and was eventually asked to leave by Hooters employees, police said.

Because the clearly drunk Daly had no transportation home, police said they held Daly in custody at a local jail until he sobered up, and then he was escorted home. Daly was photographed by police, but does not appear to have been charged with any crime.

After his bizarre appearance at the British Open, where he accused his former coach Butch Harmon of lying about Daly's alchohol abuse and then struggled to break 90, and his shirtless round in Missouri which was a YouTube hit, this latest episode is more proof that Daly, who still has a tremendous fan following, is now far more famous as a sad sideshow than the long-hitting Babe Ruth of golf who came from nowhere to win the 1991 PGA Championship.

Gameday: LSU

Go to about the 0:33 second mark. If I'm not mistaken, Keenan said something about an LSU fan wanting to throw him off the upper deck at the SEC Championship game. Either way, in my experiences, LSU has the loudest most obnoxious fans anywhere. I hope we shut 'em up today. Go Dawgs!!!!

Bonus Video
And I thought I had some pretty radical views...

If only I could find an Orgeron letter...

Here: Our good friend, Mike Gundy- coach of the school with the finest hospitality program in the country.

Apparently, this guy writes in all caps when sending letters to his recruits. Does anyone else find this funny but not really all that shocking?

Check out David Hale's blog for the entire story. I like his idea about the 401-keg. Hale > Ching

Time To Right The Ship

The 17 second mark is PRICELESS. Being told to sit down and shut the f*** up by a couple of guys who looked like they came right out of the movie Deliverance was also priceless but you kind of had to be there for that.

What the hell Walter?

Walter Hill did not show up to AFAM 2000 on Tuesday. Now, he's off the team. At first, I thought he was just unable to come to terms with Durham being injured. However, it seems that he's more of a Cass Sawyer. What went wrong?

Maybe it's because Walter had a high school football coach by the name of Bryan Gray. Look it up... BG- I love you man.

Hope everyone had a good 10-06-(08)

I just took the hardest midterm ever. I chose Political Science to avoid numbers and graphs. I feel like I am a damn dead weight loss. Anyways, now I am done with school obligations for quite a while so I'll be able to post plenty in the coming weeks.

I know yall are all extremely happy and thankful.

Saw an interesting quote by an anonymous blogger on the GA sports blog today:

"How'd that many guys get injured on defense with us playing a soft zone? Were they on the wrong side of a collision with thin air?"

Thoughts?

Sure would like to know what happened to this guy and just when he will return.
