Congress Reverses Ruling, Sanjaya "'True' American Idol"

Not Really. But the house did pass a college football playoff bill.

These guys are clowns. Up next investigating last season's 'Biggest Loser' and overturning America's decision on Season Ones 'Dancing with the Stars.'

From the article:

"What can we say — it's December and the BCS is in chaos again," said the bill's sponsor, Rep. Joe Barton of Texas, the top Republican on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. He said the BCS system is unfair and won't change unless prompted by Congress.

He's obviously a TCU fan.

I don't really care either way whether there is a playoff system or a bowl system. I will certainly watch either. What bothers me is that there are dickheads in D.C. that think its their business to change things for everyone. Please. Let INDIVIDUALS decide!!!! Maybe I just don't understand the system. Am I alone on this?

CORRECTION! A subcommittee passed the bill. It has to go on to full committee, then get voted on by the full house. There is not yet a companion bill in the Senate.

It's a commerce clause issue, which demonstrates how badly gov't has manhandled the Constitution in this aspect.

It still has no business being debated in Congress. Congress has other issues to worry about. Atleast they should.

And why is there a picture of a flaming homosexual on our blog?

PMac,

Umm. Hello. That's Sanjaya. Get with it.

Barstool,

I didn't -- nor do I plan to -- watch the youtube video or google any of the words that you wrote.

Changing 'house' with 'house subcommittee' doesn't change the point of the post.

The reason why we don't see eye-to-eye on a lot of things is because I can honestly see you being one of these douchebags in D.C. making decisions for everyone. I still like you though.

Your friend,
Shane

What INDIVIDUALS do you think should decide? I'm not sure i really understand that...aren't congresman individuals in the most basic understanding of the word? or do you think that the individuals that have always been in charge should continue to suck? The governing body of America have been blowing wiener in a lot of things as of late (the last 10 years)...maybe it would do us some good to do one thing right.

I have been an asshole. Sorry. Just ready for a vacation. Nothing personal. I meant what I said in the previous comment in the best possible way (i.e. you're smart, clever and funny enough to be elected into a position that would make decisions for everyone.)

Weazle-

Individuals make decisions through spending money. Groups make decision for EVERYONE by passing laws that coerce individuals into doing what those groups want.

I made a decision as an individual to create blue M&M's on a toll free call...that didn't require me spending any money...so HAH

Yawn. A lot of the people who elect Barton are TCU fans, and he's doing what he can to make sure they vote for him again.

astute observation from the POLS masters student and former pupil of one Dr. Doug Crowe.

interesting to note that TCU's coach is not in favor of a playoff.
