Friday Night Lights/Lasers

Monday is a great day to check out Facebook. You get to see scandalous pictures of what fine little chickenheads did over the weekend. You can expect to find a video of Jack's most recent karaoke adventure. You can count on seeing Murray with a big girl, a cougar, or in a comprimising situation.

Today, I got on to find that Big John Wright had invited me to join his group, "Laser-tag, anyone?". I know some of yall don't have Facebook or some of yall aren't yet friends with JW on Facebook. Here are the details:

"I try to play laser-tag on a weekly basis---Fridays at around 6:30 P.M. at Star Castle Family Entertainment Center. If anyone is interested feel free to join me. I'm the guy in solid black.

Now I know many if not most who read this will probably presume laser-tag is a kiddie game. Well...it can be, but it can also be more. I'm not going to try to convince everyone how great it can be---it will explain itself if you play it---I just want to get people to go. So if you're interested, then join this group and invite your friends. If you're not interested, join anyway and invite your friends because they may be interested. Just because you're in this group doesn't mean you have to come. All I want to do is reach out to as many people as I can who may be interested.

If you join I'll send an invite whenever I'm planning to go. If you get tired of getting the invite then---after you've invited all your friends to join this group---opt out.

Things to know:
1. When the staff person asks if you've played before say yes...otherwise you have to watch an eye-gouging instructional video. Everything you need to know is below.

2. Hold both buttons on the gun at all times, so that when you pull the trigger it fires. The gun is full-auto, so you can just hold down the trigger. Aim for the chest, back, or shoulders, but not the eyes.

3. You have 20 lives and 500 shots. If you are shot twenty times or you squeeze off 500 shots you have to go to the charging station where you start out at the beginning of the game. Do not go to the other team's charging station or it will kill you.

4. If you defeat an opposing player you can keep shooting them and still get points, but that means they can do the same to you, so if suddenly you hear a clicking noise when you try to fire—get back to the charging station.

5. There is a base in each corner of the arena with a light that can be shot. Each team has two bases to defend. You get more points for shooting an opposing base than an opposing player. Feel free to unload 500.

6. When you want to charge up don’t try to shoot the blinking light in the charging station or get real close to it, you can just slowly walk by it and it will recharge you.

7. The arena is lit by black light. If you want to blend in a bit, avoid wearing white and jean material. Even black jeans will illuminate in black light.

I think that should cover it. Obviously you have to be here in Savannah in order to play here, but I decided not to limit who can see this group to Savannah, GA because hey if you want to fly from Indochina once a week to play laser-tag here then more power to you!"

10-6, John. Love you. Got to go.

Check out Only in the Office for a few of them. The one of Jack is the best though so I'll have to get Plowe to put that one up as well.
