GHSA Enrollment Numbers Are Out

No major surprises on my first run through it.

BC is slotted for AA, but hopefully they do the right thing. Richmond Hill moves into AAAA territory, but I figure they'd rather play Johnson and Groves than Brunswick and South Effingham. Charlton County drops to A, which is bad news for Chumley.

One question, though. wtf is this all about:

NEW SCHOOLS (2011-2012)
Coastal (Savannah) 600 projected

NEW SCHOOLS (2012-2013)
New Savannah 900 projected

I know I'm not in Savannah all the time anymore, but did I miss something?

The Savannah-Chatham BOE wants to turn Coastal Middle School into a high school. They also want to add a high school in Pooler.

The Pooler thing is struggleing to get off the ground because the BOE recently found out they likely don't have the funds. The Coastal thing could be a problem not only for BC but for all the private high schools. Families of 300 males from the islands would have a legitimate option now. It would kill Johnson as well, as far as any diversity.

Its also funny with the reclassification surfaceing again that still no one is questioning Chatham Co. for putting its schools in 5A. Jenkins is 4A and the other 5 fall in 3A.
