And the Streak Ends

For the first time in over a decade and a half, the Benedictine basketball program recorded a postseason victory. The Cadets defeated Harlem 55-47 in the first round of the 3-AAA region playoffs at Cross Creek High school. BC advances to play Glenn Hills, ranked #7 and #4 in two different polls, on Thursday night at Cross Creek. The winner will advance to the State Playoffs.

I thought BC won a region tourney game in '96. I know they lost to Statesboro in the quarters. Did they have a bye into that round?

Yes, they were the 2 seed in the sub-region and had a bye. Statesboro was the 3 seed from the other side led by Dante Humphries.

You beat me to it Jack about Dante Humphries. He was damn good. Didn't he go on and play at Armstrong at one point?

Yeah, he started out at Georgia Southern but didn't get along with the coach and transferred to AASU. He is the best high school shooter I have ever seen .
