Glynn won their region and is #5 in the state. Other quality win for us was Rockmart who won their region and is #6 with us. Rockdale Co., who was our 1st loss of the year, is #1 in the state in AAAA.
Our only loss where we were handled pretty good was SHS.
There is a way to make it so that this doesnt happen. It involves making a 'word verification' to make a comment. It will make 'spam' more difficult to put up.
Its your call, PMac. It would be an extra step when trying to make a comment though.
I realize that you will not be able to get back to 40 year olds and girls in my age range until two specific links are taken down, so I'm all for taking down the links to them. The two blogs in question are a hell of lot more entertaining than say Dawgsports. It's whatev though.
there are millions of other entertaining blogs but we can't link to them all. what makes them so deserving? what is the criteria for which blogs are linked?
There aren't millions of blogs written by hot, young girls we know from Savannah. Again, I am not opposed to removing the links to them, because I know that doing so is essential to your well being.
if by "we" you mean you, then maybe. majority of us don't know them, so then it falls into blogs written by girls from SAV of which I'm sure we can find tons. i have no problem letting them stay - my concern is more about the general standard for accepting blogs. i think we need a firm stance established now rather than later to avoid future conflict.
Patrick M: knows them Donnie: knows them Barstool69: has no clue who they are anymouse: never met them Shane: knows them JJH4: knows them Rick: knows them
we have different definitions of "know them". some people on the list have expressed to me that yes they know who they are (know of them), but not much more.
i think it's swell that you want them to be linked so bad (for whatever reason) and i recently read the blogs and found them entertaining. i don't have a real issue with them being linked. what i am saying, however, is that i think we need a stance on this before everyone wants their friend's blog to be linked.
I could care less if we continue to link to their blogs or not. If I want to read them, I can still read them.
My issue comes in you attempting to be the majority voice for which blogs we add. I like the idea of voting whether or not to add new blogs. I see no problem in someone making a notion to add a new link and it requiring a majority of contributors to vote yes to it in the comments.
But really, it should be left up to Patrick. If one of us asks him to link to a new blog or blogs and he does, then we should let it be.
I admire you desire to create factions here at OIA, and I hope you still invite me to Cowboy Ball, but I guarantee there will be more no votes than yes votes on this most recent poll.
i really don't understand why you see our stances as adversarial. I'll tell you my 2 stances right now:
1. Keep the blogs 2. PMac has total control
Yes, stance 2 is not very democratic, but I think direct democracy is overrated in certain circumstances (see referendum voting in CA).
my interest in this honestly started out as messing with you about their addition, which I think was fair game. i read the blogs, and yea i think they're interesting and give our links some diversity. so if we can all agree vesting total control in PMac, then we can move on and continue to debate about how i dominate you in FIFA.

Any word on Glynn yet?
At least we beat one playoff AAAAA team.

Tech sucks.
What in the hell is that nonsense?

i dont want to do a word verification for every post. if they increase, then yea but right now it doesn't seem to be a big deal.
also, might be time to clean up some of the links.
Cleaned up and fixed some of the links. Anything need to be added or taken off? I'm open to any suggestions.
i think there are 2 that no longer serve a real purpose
Dear Bryan,
I realize that you will not be able to get back to 40 year olds and girls in my age range until two specific links are taken down, so I'm all for taking down the links to them. The two blogs in question are a hell of lot more entertaining than say Dawgsports. It's whatev though.
Sincerely,
Donnie

"majority of us don't know them"
Patrick M: knows them
Donnie: knows them
Barstool69: has no clue who they are
anymouse: never met them
Shane: knows them
JJH4: knows them
Rick: knows them
Nice majority.
What do the OIA by-laws say?
Snuffy, you'll have to consult 睡衣 for the bylaws.

i would motion to stay the vote until a "blog adding" stance can be proposed and voted on.
second, i think comment voting by the blog members only could be a better alternative.
possible proposals:
1. PMac makes all the decisions on what blogs to link, period.
2. we vote as blog members. majority required.
3. we open it up to anyone who wants to vote at all via the polling option (repeat voters are an issue here).
I could care less if we continue to link to their blogs or not. If I want to read them, I can still read them.

Your desire of course, not you desire.
yea don - nothing says "attempting to be the majority voice" more than me proposing a vote or vesting the power in someone else.
You are the only one that cares about this sort of thing.
It now comes down to who can vote more on different computers.
Best of luck.

FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT !!!!!!
I agree with both of your choices. It should be Patrick's choice.
Right now it stands at 9 to 11 in favor of no. I cannot think of a more perfect vote to end all this.
My style of FIFA play is too much for you.
alright just to prove the ridiculousness of this, I am going to vote opposite of you and win. game on.
you guys are lame
You guys.
