BC vs. Savannah Christian

I know some have obligations and plans for this Saturday. For those who don't or are looking for something better to do, the Benedictine Baseball program will be playing @ the ScPCSPS Raiders on Saturday at Noon. The Cadets are currently 2-2 with losses to Effingham and Etowah and wins over Groves and Glynn. SCPCSCCCS is currently 4-1. The Cadets won the last meeting 3-2 in 2006. This meeting will most likely be the most competetive and anticipated game of the Savannah high school baseball season with both teams having high expectations and region schedules not yet having an impact on either team's pitching rotations. BC will be home on March 12th against Windsor Forest for the other St. Patrick's Day week game. Erin go Braugh! Hut 1 Hut 2!

Slic' Ric lives to fight another day. The Nature Boy defeated Mr. Kennedy at last night's WWE pay-per-view No Way Out in Las Vegas. Flair made Kennedy tap to his infamous Figure Four Leglock, thus extending his glorious career for at least another match.


Mr. McMahon battles his bastard child Hornswoggle inside a steel cage tonight on RAW at 9:00 on the USA Network. Be sure to tune in...

Fire Felton?

Dennis Felton, I really don't like you. I have yet to say whether I think Felton should stay or go at the end of the season. Well, before we go up to Kentucky tomorrow and beat them and I look like a jackass, I'll go ahead and say it: Fire Felton!

To start, he just comes off as an asshole. And he surrounds himself with a few assholes as well. Desmond Oliver and Mike Jones can kiss my ass. They might be good guys, great coaches, and overall nice guys. But I only have one situation to judge each of them by, and they both left great impressions. I played against one of them at Ramsey one time and he was one of those guys who called tons of bullshit and was always right when it came to determining the right call. One student did call him out when he said, " Coach, I respect you and all but you full of bullshit, and I am just trying to play. " That a boy, Coach. Then for the other of the two. Ten of us choose up teams on the second court and decided to start our full court game. Well the jackass was obviously rocking out too loud on his ipod to hear the ball coming on a fast break, and he caused a screw up in our game. But instead of apologizing, he decided to bitch at us for not noticing him and letting him know that the ten of us were starting a game. McAuley is a prick too. Playing with him is not real fun due to his constant bitching and moaning. I think Raven, Herrman, and Robinson are great. I wish they well. To Hell with Felton, Jones, and Oliver, though.

Consider the amount of players who left the team during Felton's tenure by some way other than graduation or using up their eligibility.
Buzz Wehunt, Joey Waldrop, Steve Wolek, Marcus Sikes,Younes Idrissi, Channing Toney, Alex Evans, Sam Greavu, Blake Davenport, Matt Womack, Ronald Aguilar,Brad Brizendine, PJ Bullock, Rashaad Singleton, Suleiman Ndiaye, Josh Stephens, Takais Brown, and Mike Mercer. I think that's 18. Obviously, there are a few studs that couldn't follow the rules. But hey, he recruited them. I am more concerned really about the walk-ons. Why don't we have any walk-ons on the end of our bench? (I know that Butler is a walk-on but he is the exception for many reasons.) It seems like every team I've seen this year has at least a few walk-ons that sit on the end of the bench. My hypotheses are that Felton is such a prick that he doesn't want to be bothered by having to deal with them in practice (although getting a 5 on 5 scrimmage now requires assistant coaches and trainers) or that he is such a prick that none of the walk-ons want to play again after putting up with his shit for a year. See Suleiman Ndiaye and Ronald Aguilar for their thoughts.

Lastly, I think Felton is a good recruiter. I just think we could get someone in here that could do more with the guys we already have here, and maybe the next guy will have more "luck" with recruiting more quality guys.

A Career Gamble?

WWE's No Way Out will take place this Sunday night from the greatest place I've never been to: Las Vegas, Nevada. Those in attendance at the Thomas & Mack Center and the millions watching around the world on pay-per-view will witness a stacked card featuring a RAW and Smackdown version of the Elimination Chamber, 3 Championship matches, and career threatening match. Yes, the magnificent 35 year career of 16 times World Heavyweight Champion "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair could come to an end this Sunday at the hands of one of the more entertaining superstars of this era- Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Keeeennnnneeeeeeeedddddyyyyyyyyyy...............(pause)..................... Keeeennnneeeeddddyy!!!!!!!!

One night after stylin’ and profilin’ his way to victory over United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter at Royal Rumble, Ric Flair accepted a challenge from Mr. Kennedy – and his seventh consecutive Career Threatening Match – at No Way Out.

As per WWE Chairman Vince McMahon’ s mandate last November, the legendary "Nature Boy" must retire following the next match he loses. Since then, however, Flair has defeated an array of Superstars, including WWE Champion Randy Orton, Umaga, Triple H, RAW GM William Regal, and most recently the loudmouthed MVP. Although Flair took care of business against the Franchise Playa, can he do the same against another competitor with a similar penchant for talking a big game?

But this Career Threatening Match against Kennedy is different than the others; Flair is coming into No Way Out wounded. MVP injured the 16-time World Champion's knee in a Royal Rumble rematch on SmackDown. Kennedy offered "Naitch" the opportunity to forfeit the match and essentially his career, but Flair knows no quit.

Surely, Flair knows Mr. Kennedy is no slouch. The laundry list of former World Champions and future Hall of Famers he has defeated reads like a Who’s Who in WWE. Kane, Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Batista and most recently Shawn Michaels, among others, have all tasted defeat at the hands of Raw’s outspoken Superstar. And now he is setting out to do what MVP couldn’t accomplish at Royal Rumble. After defeating Brian Kendrick on Raw, Mr. Kennedy proclaimed, "At No Way Out, I will do something historic, something that no one has been able to do – end the career of Ric Flair."

Now used to dealing with loudmouthed challengers looking to make a name for themselves, Flair interrupted Kennedy’s tirade, bluntly stating, "I’ll just leave it at this – at No Way Out, good luck! Woooooo!"

When "Naitch" defeated MVP at Royal Rumble, he kept his career alive and looked more than impressive doing so. In Las Vegas, can he keep his "Space Mountain" running? Or will Mr. Kennedy’s gamble to topple of WWE’s greats earn him the biggest windfall of his career?

So as you can see, this year's No Way Out could be historical if Slic' Ric has to hang up the wrestling boots forever. I'm confident he will win because Flair's a big match kind of guy and this one is huge. It is very appropriate that this event is taking place in Las Vegas because I would say all the chips are on the table for Naitch.

Best Sitcom EVER!!

As some of you already know I stumbled upon this show after christmas and have already watch all but about 5 episodes of it. I know some of you are saying 'but Shane is it funnier than the office or even family guy' (Donnie), and to that I emphatically reply YES.

Arrested Development may be the funniest show I have ever watched. If you find yourself bored one weekend I highly recommend watching all three seasons. The link above 'legally' (as I know most of you are concerned about) allows you to stream the videos through MSN's website.

Ex-Hoover coach to take over at Colquitt Co.Propst, star of MTV reality show, left Alabama power amid controversy

Rush Propst, the hard-driving football coach from the MTV series "Two-A-Days: Hoover High," will be named the head coach of Colquitt County High in Moultrie today.
Propst won five Alabama state titles in nine seasons at Hoover, a school outside of Birmingham. The MTV reality show made celebrities of Hoover players and supporters and especially Propst, known for his salty pep talks and Southern drawl.

Propst resigned from Hoover on Oct. 31 amid controversy but finished the season, which ended in a second-round playoff loss."There's nothing more we could've done at Hoover," Propst said. "We took the school to the pinnacle of high school sports in this country. ... I wanted to get back to my country roots. I'm a country boy from Alabama, and I've coached and lived in rural areas most of my life."

Propst said he liked the challenge of Region 1-AAAAA, which he called "one of the toughest this country has."When you talk about Valdosta, Lowndes, Colquitt County, Northside, Warner Robins, they know where that is. That's what excites me about this job — the traditions of these South Georgia towns."
