Question For Anymouse or JJBA
Or anyone that knows the answer...
Say UGA loses this weekend and Cam Newton plays. If next week they determine that Cam Newton was, in fact, in violation of NCAA rules, would Georgia get credit for a win?
I'm not certain about any of it. I would assume that Georgia would get credit for a win if Cam Newton is ever deemed ineligible whether that be next week or 10 years from now. If the NCAA does make a ruling between now and the Sunday after the conference championship games, and say Newton was ineligible for all their games, then Auburn wouldn't be going to a bowl. That would mean Georgia would be bumped up one spot in the bowl pecking order. That would move Georgia from a Liberty to a Music City or a Music City to a Peach.
Right now I think Georgia's bowl destination comes down to Tennessee being bowl eligible or not. Whether Georgia goes 6-6 or 7-5 doesn't really matter imo. If Tennessee gets to 6 wins the Music City would be hard pressed not to take the Vols and Georgia would go to Memphis or Birmingham depending on what Ole Miss does.

Wishful thinking Mr. Murray.
